Questions about paying
Paying
Do I need an account to buy?
Yes. Your key and the installer are kept on your account page, so the account comes first: an email address and a password, or Google. Confirm the address from the email you are sent, then buy.
How is the payment handled?
Payment is handled by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who act as the reseller and handle sales tax: any sales tax or VAT where you live is added at the checkout. Your card details never reach this site.
Why is there no monthly plan?
Because a trail plug-in is not something you rent. You pay once and it is yours.
Do you sell to companies with more than one editor?
Not as a separate tier yet. For now each editor buys a licence on their own account, or write to me and we will work it out.
After you buy
Where is my download?
On your account page, next to your key, as soon as the payment clears. It is also on the page Paddle sends you back to. The installer is not a public download, and keys are never emailed. The installer is not code-signed yet, so Windows warns that the publisher is unknown: choose More info, then Run anyway.
What do 12 months of updates mean?
Every version released in the 12 months after you buy works with your key. After that, the version you have keeps working. Versions released later are not covered by your key, so keep the installer you have.
How do refunds work?
Ask within 14 days of paying, by writing to support or through Paddle at paddle.net. No reason needed. Paddle processes the refund, and once it is approved the key is revoked and the download is taken off your account.
Can I use it on client work?
Yes. The licence covers commercial work, including videos you are paid to edit.
