Terms and licence
Plain terms for a one-person software product. Read the two bold lines if you read nothing else.

You are buying a licence to use the software, not the software itself, and it is sold as it is. It does what this site says it does, and that is the whole promise. Nothing here takes away rights your own country's consumer law gives you.
1. Who you are dealing with
Ball Tracer is made and supported by seller name not set.
Orders are sold and processed by Paddle.com Market Ltd, who act as the authorised reseller and merchant of record. Your payment contract is with them; they handle payment, invoicing and sales tax. Support for the software is provided by me.
2. The licence you get
When you pay, you get a non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to:
- Install and use Ball Tracer on the number of computers your key allows.
- Use it for commercial work, including work you are paid for.
- Keep using the version you bought for as long as you like. The licence does not expire.
Updates are released from time to time and are free to existing licence holders while they are offered. Nothing here promises any particular update, or any particular number of them. What you are buying is the software as it is today.
3. What you may not do
- Share, resell, rent or publish your licence key.
- Distribute the plug-in, modified or not.
- Remove, disable or work around the trial mark or the licence check.
- Reverse engineer, decompile or disassemble the software, except exactly as far as the law where you live says you may despite this clause. If you are in the EU or the UK, your right to decompile for interoperability under the applicable software directive is not affected by this agreement.
4. The trial
The trial is the same build as the paid version. It is complete and has no time limit, and it writes the word TRIAL across every frame it renders until it is activated. Using the trial for finished work is allowed; removing the mark by any means other than activating a valid key is not.
5. Activation and your machine
Activating sends a one-way fingerprint of your computer and your key to the licence server so the activation can be counted. Details are in the privacy policy. If you change computers, deactivate first to free the activation.
A refunded or reversed order has its key revoked. Because the licence is cached on your machine, a revoked key can keep working offline for up to 30 days before the software notices. That is stated here rather than pretended otherwise.
6. What is promised, and what is not
The software is provided as is. It is not promised to be free of faults, to work on every computer, or to succeed on every shot — and it will not succeed on every shot. That is precisely why the trial is the complete build: test it on your own footage and your own machine before paying.
To the fullest extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for lost work, lost time, lost income or any indirect loss. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the amount you paid for the licence. Nothing in this section limits liability for death, personal injury, fraud, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.
7. Ending the licence
The licence ends if you break the terms in section 3. If that happens, stop using the software and delete it. Sections 6, 7 and 8 carry on applying afterwards.
8. Changes, law and disputes
These terms may change for future purchases. The version in force when you bought is the one that governs your purchase, and this page records when it was last changed.
The law that applies and the courts that may hear a dispute: not set. Your own country's mandatory consumer protections still apply to you regardless.
