The trial is the whole plug-in.
Same file as the paid download. Nothing removed, no time limit. Until it is activated it writes TRIAL diagonally across the picture.

Installing it
[ Read this before you install ]
There is no double-click installer yet. Right now you install by running a PowerShell script that ships with the download. It is three lines of typing, and the full walk-through is on the install page. Windows will also warn you that the publisher is unknown, because the build is not code-signed yet.
- 01Close DaVinci Resolve completely. The installer refuses to run while Resolve is open, because Resolve holds the plug-in file.
- 02Unzip the download, then run
install.ps1. Windows will ask for administrator rights, because the plug-in goes in a shared system folder. - 03It lands in
C:\Program Files\Common Files\OFX\Plugins\BallTracer.ofx.bundle. - 04Start Resolve and look under Effects Library > OpenFX > Ball Tracer.
- 05Before tracking a long range, set Playback → Timeline Playback Resolution to Half. It is the single thing that decides how many frames fit in one pass.
