Before you do

Buying needs an accountYour key and the installer are kept here, so the address you sign up with is the one your licence belongs to.
Windows only, in Resolve Studio or Premiere ProThe free edition of Resolve does not load OpenFX plug-ins at all, and there is no macOS build yet.
Confirm your email before you buyOne email arrives with a link. Open it to confirm the address and sign in; until then the account cannot buy or download anything. Nothing else is ever sent to you unless you ask for it.

An account is an email address and a password, kept so your licence has somewhere to live.
